Suzanne has been at the helm of the international program since June of 2012, and since June 2014 is also the Executive Director of Place aux compétences. She has a bachelor's in geography and political science from the University of Ottawa and a master's in economic development from Carleton University. Between July 2008 and May 2012, she was the president of PAC's executive committee. She worked in economic development with Enterprise Kent for 10 years, having previously been employed with several not-for-profit organizations. As a parent, she takes to heart all matters related to education. She sat on the district education councils of both District scolaire 11 and District scolaire francophone Sud. She lives in Notre Dame in Kent County.

As an educator and founding member of our organization, Jean-Louis is passionate about our mission. He has a master's degree with a specialization in guidance and counselling from l'Université de Moncton and has worked as a guidance counsellor at both the high school and college levels. He was the Executive Director of Place aux compétences from 2012 to June of 2014. From 2009 to 2011, he was co-ordinator of the Entrepreneurial Community Schools in District 11. Originally from St. Quentin, he is known for his sense of humour and joie de vivre. He lives in Dieppe.

Monia has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from l’Université de Moncton, as well as a diploma in college studies in accounting and management technology from a CEGEP in Quebec. Her very first job was with a not-for-profit organisation offering services to substance abusers (where she later became a member of the board). With more than 20 years of experience in her field, and having recently worked with an accounting firm in Moncton for five years, Monia joined our team in January 2015 to experience a new adventure with an organisation catering to youth development in the Acadian and francophone community. Mom to a 12-year-old son, she lives in the beautiful seaside community of Cap-Pelé.

Sylvie grew up in Kent County in New Brunswick. She has a bachelor’s degree in Translation from l’Université de Moncton, and worked as a translator and proofreader for a translation firm in Dieppe for 11 years. Before joining our team, she worked in the francophone school system for four years as an administrative assistant with the District scolaire francophone Sud. She lives in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent with her husband and two boys.

François-Léonce joined our team at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. He holds a bachelor of Computer Science from l’Université de Moncton and has more than 10 years of professional experience in the private sector, as well as with Radio-Canada. Passionate about science and technology, François-Léonce was an active member of the Mathieu-Martin High School Robotics Club and later became the club’s mentor. Through his work with PAC, shares his passion and experience with students and teachers embarking on technological projects in the provinces francophone community schools. Originally from Memramcook, he now lives in Moncton.

Originally from Charlo in the Northern part of the province, Mario has a diploma in journalism from the New Brunswick Community College. Before joining our team in November 2017, he taught information technology at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (Dieppe Campus) and for the last six years, digital literacy for the not-for-profit organization, Apprentissage pour adultes Sud-Est inc. Mario is passionate about music and technology and loves to share and interact with those of like mind. In his free time, he plays guitar with a group in Moncton, where he lives with his wife and daughter.

Janic joined our team in February 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from l’Université de Moncton. From 2000 to 2009, she worked for the Greater Moncton International Airport in a marketing and administrative position. From 2012 to 2015 she was the coordinator of Le Combo program, which offers after-school workshops to students at the Grande-Digue School; where she also gave workshops. Janic participated in the construction of her eco-friendly house in Grande-Digue in 2012, where she now lives with her husband and two daughters.

Chantal joined our team, full time, at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Since 2014-2015, she has also been the coordinator in the Moncton-Dieppe Region for the International Student Program. Chantal worked as a community development officer in the community of Dieppe and has a bachelor’s in Recreation & Leisure from l’Université de Moncton. In 2012-2013, she was the Community Connexion Co-ordinator with the Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton area, where she had the opportunity to work with new immigrants. Chantal lives in Dieppe with her husband, Gilles, and their two teenagers, Marie-Pier and Amélie.

Daniel joined the team in April 2018. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, but has created a career for himself mainly in the arts. The multidisciplinary artist from Kent County sees himself as an everyday poet. Also a musician, he has produced three solo albums (La route m’appelle, Équilibre et Chaviré) through his own company Productions Koonacky. As a filmmaker, he directed three documentaries with the National Film Board (A Sunday at 105, Inseparable and Artisans). In April 2015, les Éditions Perce-Neige published Objectif Katahdin, a travelogue of his journey along the Appalachian Trail.

Helen Jane KEARNEY

Helen joined our team in the fall of 2015. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education (specializing in career guidance), she worked for 33 years as a guidance counsellor in several schools in northwestern New Brunswick. Since her retirement in June 2015, Helen is still very much involved in the education field. Her role with PAC is to promote the SHAD program in francophone schools, as well as to support schools hosting international students with the curriculum and course equivalencies. Originally from Robertville, she lives in Grand Falls.

Michel has a bachelor's in education from l'Université de Moncton and taught for 33 years at Clément-Cormier in Bouctouche. He was also responsible for the school's co-operative education program, and has built an extensive communications network with employers in both Kent and Westmorland counties. With his knowledge and experience of the labour market, Michel coordinates training and job placement opportunities for youth. He also contributes to our secondary training centres and essential work-related skills programs. He lives in Moncton.

Isabelle joined our team in September 2014, and divides her time between the three Centres de formation secondaire in Shediac, Bouctouche, and Richibucto. She has a bachelor’s in social work from l’Université de Moncton. Her previous employment was with the Maison des Jeunes in Dieppe, a not for profit community centre for youth. Admired for her good humour and easy smile, Isabelle plays a key role supporting the youth and adults engaged in obtaining their High School Diploma through one of the three training centres. She lives in Moncton.
