Suzanne has been at the helm of the International Program since June 2012. She has a bachelor's in geography and political science from the University of Ottawa and a master's in economic development from Carleton University. Between July 2008 and May 2012, she was the president of PAC's executive committee. She worked in economic development with Enterprise Kent for about 10 years, having previously been employed with several not-for-profit organizations. As a parent, she takes to heart all matters related to education. She sat on the district education councils of both District scolaire 11 and District scolaire francophone Sud. She lives in Notre-Dame in Kent County.

Sylvie grew up in Kent County in New Brunswick. She has a bachelor’s degree in Translation from l’Université de Moncton, and worked as a translator and proofreader for a translation firm in Dieppe for 11 years. Before joining our team, she worked in the francophone school system for four years as an administrative assistant with the District scolaire francophone Sud. She lives in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent with her husband and two boys.

Nicole GAGNON

Originally from Edmundston in the northwestern part of the province, Nicole has been living in the capital region since 2003. She works as the community development officer for the school district, and her passion for travel and discovering new cultures inspired her to join our team. She has a multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree from l’Université de Moncton with a major in psychology and a minor in education, and is currently completing a bachelor’s in education at the University of New Brunswick. Nicole is the mother of Arianne, who is studying at the University of Ottawa and Olivier who attends the francophone high school in Fredericton.

Chantal joined our team, full time, at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Since 2014-2015, she has also been the coordinator in the Moncton-Dieppe Region for the International Student Program. Chantal worked as a community development officer in the community of Dieppe and has a bachelor’s in Recreation & Leisure from l’Université de Moncton. In 2012-2013, she was the Community Connexion Co-ordinator with the Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton area, where she had the opportunity to work with new immigrants. Chantal lives in Dieppe with her husband, Gilles, and their two teenagers, Marie-Pier and Amélie.

Marie-France joined our team during the summer of 2014. Active in her community, mainly in regards to education, family issues, and sporting activities, she also has a particular interest in discovering and experiencing cultural diversity.  Marie-France is the Executive Director of a not for profit organization, the Restigouche Residential Agency. She has a bachelor’s in Human Resource Management from l’Université de Moncton, and additional education related studies at the Algonquin College in Ottawa to help people with disabilities and special needs. She’s been a board member of the District Education Council for the District scolaire francophone Nord-Est, since 2001. Originally from Val D’Amour, a small village near Campbellton in the northern part of the province, Marie-France is the mother of three young adults.

Annic joined our team in the summer of 2015. As host mother to a student from Germany during last year’s first semester, she now wants to share her experience with other local families. She has a diploma from the CÉGEP in Rimouski and works as a medical imaging technologist at the Enfant-Jésus Hospital in Caraquet. She previously held the same position at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst from 1999 to 2005. Originally from a small village in the heart of the Acadian Peninsula, she now lives in Paquetville with her husband and their two children.

Having hosted international students in their home in 2013 and 2014, Sylvie and André join our team as co-ordinators in the summer of 2015. They both work as graphic designers, and graduated with diplomas from the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (community college) campus in Dieppe.  André works in the student recruitment department of the Université de Moncton and as a freelance producer and video editor in the independent film industry. Sylvie works for the Hudson Creative Agency in Moncton, while studying visual arts part-time at the university. They live in the coastal community of Shediac Bridge in the Southeastern part of the province.

Harmonie joined our team in the spring of 2015. She has a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her taste for adventure led her to Guanajuato Mexico for a one-semester internship exchange program. She lived there for 4 year and was able to perfect Spanish, her third language. After obtaining a certificate in massage therapy in 2009, she worked on cruise ships for 2 years. Harmonie returned to her hometown in 2013 and worked as a community and cultural development officer at the primary school. She now works with Service New Brunswick and is a volunteer board member with the regional cultural association.

Helen Jane KEARNEY

Helen joined our team in the fall of 2015. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education (specializing in career guidance), she worked for 33 years as a guidance counsellor in several schools in northwestern New Brunswick. Since her retirement in June 2015, Helen is still very much involved in the education field. Her role with PAC is to promote the SHAD program in francophone schools, as well as to support schools hosting international students with the curriculum and course equivalencies. Originally from Robertville, she lives in Grand Falls.
